Bay Jordan was born and raised in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) in the aftermath of Rhodesia’s ill-fated Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI).
Obliged to combine his accountancy studies with compulsory military duties during the war that followed, the futility of trying to defeat an ideology with a rifle appalled him.
He emigrated to South Africa as soon as he had finished his final exams but, after a decade living there, his respect for government authority was further undermined.
He eventually emigrated with his family to Canada before moving to the UK in the mid-nineties.
Bay’s unique history has made him sensitive to socio-political issues, but has done nothing to reassure him about the calibre of government. This book is his personal manifesto for sanity in an increasingly crazy world.
